Digestive and Urogenital system
(1) – Digestive system– This system is mainly responsible for movement of food into and out of the body and use of food by taking nutrition to keep the body healthy.
Digestive system includes – small intestine,salivary glands, mouth, esophagus, liver, gallbladder, stomach, colon, pancreas and rectum.
Function of digestive system- This system acts on food particles breaks into small molecules, which are then absorbed into the body system.These includes, mainly acts in 6 steps,
- Ingestion
- Secretion
- Mixing and Movement
- Digestion
- Absorption
- Excretion.
(2) – Urogenital system– also called genitourinary system, organs related to reproduction and urinary excretion.
The major structures of the reproductive system in males – urethra, sperm ducts, testes, and penis.
In females – uterus, and vagin,ovaries, fallopian tubes.
Structures of the urinary system – It includes kidneys, ureters, bladder, and urethra.
2) Function of Urogenital system- This system is responsible for the formation, storage and then elimination of urine and for reproductive activity in body.
